Cold but hopefully not uninspired...

This is my least favourite time of the year so I thought I would ease my students back in with lots of layering and concentrating on more traditional techniques. Then hopefully Spring will awaken our art chakras and we can get back to chucking about the salt and sprinkling on the pastels. In the meantime, I have really appreciated slowing down as I am naturally very impatient. I chose a fried egg as a challenge for the more advanced groups and I genuinely never realised how much I would enjoy painting breakfast...

I try to listen to the universe when putting on my new courses and the current demand seems to be for absolute beginners watercolour. So on Friday 27th February 10 til 12 for five weeks I will be introducing the joys of watercolour to those of who you are riddled with curiosity but have done absolutely nothing before.
Or just feel like they need to go right back to the beginning.
Watercolour is a notoriously hard medium to grasp. However, it is also the gift that keeps on giving. There are so many different ways to use watercolour and it is perfect for doing sketchbooks. I will be putting on some sketchbook classes over the summer so that you can discover some really easy ways to record your daily life or your exciting holidays.
I have one off classes and full term courses and you can contact me in order to chat about what would suit you best. Do check your junk email though as I will always reply to any enquiry or you can call me direct on 07947 841223. Art is a very accessible medium. It can sometimes be hard to portray what you want to but ultimately it is a great way to express your individual personality and to see the world in a different way.
