Your Pen, Ink & Watercolour Workshop

I love leading a workshop so if you would like a day planned especially for you and your students or members then just give me a shout.

I can teach some awesome pen, wash and watercolour techniques and you can tailor the day or even a few hours to suit your needs. I have a few packages that you can ask for but we can also discuss do something different. â€‹â€‹

Check out my portfolio page for examples of mine and student's work in class.

Doodling, splatting, inky trees & boats

We start the day with some messing about with mark making and colour and looking at the different types of ink. We then move on to some still life, colouring outside the lines, loosening up before tackling two actual pictures, one birch trees with quink and cocktail sticks and a lot of splatting and chucking of inks and then to finish a nice bit of boat. This workshop is aimed at any level so is very mindful and will give you some key sketchbooking skills and some ideas that you can try again and again.

Everybody seems to loves trees especially a birch tree with those awesome patterns. So I have devised a great workshop based on trees using a mixture of pen, ink and watercolour and a bit of grated pastel, some chucked on salt, sprayed alcohol, clingfilm and a spot of Quink with cocktail sticks. This workshop is aimed at any level so is very mindful and will give you some key sketchbooking skills and some ideas that you can try again and again.

Mini Sketchbooks

I accidentally bought some tiny sketchbooks and discovered that it was very liberating having such a small area to fill. I will give you some lovely little books to fill up with sketches of the local area, local landmarks, wildlife, local food and then you can finish off your sketchbooks with inky renditions of your house, pet, your Saturday dinner and how to record impressions of your daily life. A bite sized way to approach making drawing & painting a part of your daily life.

I encourage students to play with a mixture of different techniques. Workshops follow a structure but are also friendly and relaxed. They can include a mixture of beginners and improvers to the subject.  Give me a shout if you want to discuss me doing a workshop in your venue. Victoria
